Better Late Than Never?
There is a famous quote by Douglas Adams that says, “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”
This quote pretty much sums up my writing life at the moment. I’m running late in ALL THE WAYS. Here are just a few:
- This newsletter is late. I usually try to send out my monthly newsletter by the 10th of the month. Sometimes it takes me until the middle of the month to get the little sucker out the door. Today is the 23rd day of the month. I think this may be a new record for lateness. Sorry about that guys!
- Finding Grey is going to be late. This is true for a couple of reasons. My critique partner suggested I should ‘restructure the whole second half’ of the book. Yikes! Also, I’m adding a PR and Marketing expert to my team of helpers in the hope of launching bigger and better than ever. All this means Finding Grey will now be released in January/February of next year. I’m hoping you’ll decide the extra wait time was worth it. For those in the Launch Team, you’ll still be the first to read the book.
- Almost three years after publishing my first book, I finally have a Facebook Author Page (I mentioned that PR person right? She insisted I get my act together, but she said it nicely). So, if you are on Facebook and would like to ‘Like’ my new Author Page, you can see it here.
What Will I Be Putting on the Facebook Author Page?
I’ll be adding all sorts of extra info on my Author Page, including book reviews, updates on book progress, music that has inspired my writing, sale times, and anything else I can think of that may add to your reading experience. It will be a learning experience for me, but I’m looking forward to getting some more direct contact with readers.
